FAQ
Sessions are billed by the day because it eases a lot of the stress that is associated with hourly rates. A client pays for a day, and knows they have a whole day to spend recording. Although I work generous hours, there >comes a point where I get fatigued and any work after that point is unhealthy and usually counter-productive. Generally anything over 10-12 hours falls under the category of unhealthy and counter-productive.
If your band wants to book a couple hours on the evening prior to the session to setup, warm up, get sounds, etc, it is possible to book an hourly rate for special circumstances.
