The Dead Room is a compact, acoustically controlled space designed to deliver a tight, focused sound with a distinctive tonal character. Measuring 9' x 10' with a 12' ceiling, it’s treated to minimize reflections across the full audible frequency range, resulting in a dry, punchy sound that’s especially well-suited for 70s-style drum tones, bass, electric guitars, and vocals.

This room is perfect for capturing sources that benefit from immediacy and intimacy without losing personality. Whether you're looking to record tight drums or isolate a vocal take with natural presence, the Dead Room gives you a controlled environment that still adds something special.

As with all rooms at Russian Recording, the Dead Room is fully integrated with mic, line, and speaker tie lines to the control room and other tracking spaces, allowing for flexible routing and creative setups across the entire studio.

DRY ISO ROOM EQUIPMENT

This is a small room so we don't typically store any equipment in here other than a few cables and occassionally a bass amp, but please visit our equipment page to see what kind of fun stuff you can use here.
