Founder, Engineer, Producer, Mastering Engineer
Mike Bridavsky founded Russian Recording in 2003 and has been working in studios since 1998. With over 2,000 records to his name, he splits his time between producing, tracking, mixing, and mastering. His credits include work with artists such as Deerhoof, Magnolia Electric Co., The Cowboys, Durand Jones & The Indications, Half Japanese, The Residents, Major Murphy, and many more.
Mike occasionally appears on the records he works on, contributing as a creative collaborator or performer - typically on guitar, bass, or keyboards.
In addition to his studio work, Mike has performed in several touring bands including Push-Pull, Memory Map, and The Sands. He’s also known as the human companion of the late, great Lil BUB, the one-of-a-kind magical space cat who brought joy to millions and helped inspire Mike’s lifelong commitment to thoughtful, purpose-driven creative work.
